Things to do the first weeks of class
Happy New Year and welcome back! Hopefully you all had wonderful and restful breaks and are ready to get the semester going. Tomorrow's Professor has issued another great article that lists 101 Things You Can Do The First 3 Weeks of Class. There are great ideas for how to help students with transitions, directing students attention, challenging students, providing support, etc.

Reminders
By now you should have completed the following:
- 10 workshop hours
- peer observation
- videotape observation and consultation
- SGID and consultation
- activity contract
The following is due by Dec. 14th at 5:00pm:
- teaching portfolio
- peer observation consultation
*If you would like to have a draft of your portfolio reviewed before you turn it in, please contact your consultant by the end of this week (Dec. 7).
***Your teaching portfolio MUST BE reviewed and signed by your mentor BEFORE you turn it in.
